Ford Madox Brown - King Rene's Honeymoon

Watercolour on paper '64
A later version of a work originally painted as a panel for a cabinet designed by J P Seddon in 1861, made by William Morris now in the V&A. An orginal sketch is still extant (Birmingham) and an 1864 oil painting and in the same year another watercolour (Tate Gallery).
